PRAYER: HOTLINE TO HEAVEN

Prayer is as simple as talking to a friend on the telephone. You talk to God, you listen, and together you sort things out.

I can take my telescope and look millions of miles into space; but I can lay my telescope aside, go into my room and shut the door, and while in earnest prayer I see more of Heaven and get closer to God than I can when assisted by all the telescopes and material agencies on earth.Isaac Newton

When you pray, you open a channel to the reservoir of God's almighty power.

More things are wrought by prayer than this world dreams of. Tennyson

Prayer is not an old woman's idle amusement. Properly understood and applied, it is the most potent instrument of action.—Mahatma Gandhi

No problem is too big or too small to take to God in prayer.

Do you feel weary and burdened with life? Give the load to God and let Him handle it. He is strong enough and He hears your prayers. He is always ready to help you.

Any concern too small to be turned into a prayer is too small to be made into a burden.—Corrie ten Boom

When we pray, things will happen and things will be different. Prayer changes things.

Prayer is not just a religious ritual or tradition; it is personal, living communication between you and God! It is the royal telephone that keeps us in touch with Heaven!—David B Berg

Prayer is an invisible tool which is wielded in a visible world.—Leo Tolstoy

Prayer is like the silent flight of eagles. You glide through space. You are free, you are wild, you are set apart; it's only you and God and Heaven. You know that nothing is impossible because you're in a heavenly realm.

You pray in your distress and in your need: would that you might pray also in the fullness of your joy and in your days of abundance.Kahlil Gibran

When we take one step toward to God, he takes seven steps toward us.—Indian proverb

Pray, and let God worry.—Martin Luther

In praying we must not forget that our prayers will be answered. Some are answered just as we wish; some are answered in a way different from what we wish. Some are answered by a change in us; some by a change in others. Some are answered by the giving of a greater strength to bear the trials, and some by the lifting of the trials. Some at once; some in years to come; and some await Eternity.

Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.—Jesus (Mark 11:24)
